Don Parkhurst, Jr., has been playing guitar for over 4 decades and teaching professionally for more than 20 years. He attended Hartford Conservatory of Music as well as Atlanta Institute of Music, has studied and taught out of the Troy Stetina Series methods for many years, as well as taken personal lessons with Alex Skolnick (Testament, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage).
His major area of specialty is Rhythm Guitar mastery. In Don's words, "Without rhythm you have no music." His other primary area of focus lies in the development of good practice habits. In regard to this, he says, "My job is not to just show you what to do but instead train you to do all this for yourself, because one day I won’t be there to help you.”
